Feeling sluggish and unmotivated at work? Long hours and endless tasks can drain your energy, leaving you unfocused and negative. But with a simple tea routine, you can turn that around.
Whenever I hit a mid-afternoon slump and find my energy and mood starting to dip I find it useful to pause for tea so I can reset my mind. While I'm waiting for my tea to brew I take a few deep breaths (brownie points if your exhale is longer than your inhale), do a quick body scan to release tension and think about or jot down 3 things that have gone well that day.
I know only too well how easy it is to 'power on through' but on reflection this is always counter-productive for me. By pausing for just a few minutes I find it easier to recharge and get back on track.
How do you use your pause for tea?
