01: Sometimes your problem isn’t poor planning.
It’s over-generosity.
You said yes because you cared.
You want to help, do all the ideas, meet the deadlines.
You want to say yes to the version of you who thought you could do it all.
And now your head has 47 tabs open.
Messages waiting, tasks half-finished, promises niggling at you.
So you make a cup of tea, pause and notice.
The warmth in your hands, the weight of the cup, the breath that gets a little longer.
The shoulders that finally remember they don’t have to live by your ears.
And somewhere between the first sip and the last, something becomes clear.
Not everything needs your yes.
Some things need to end, or rescale, or need a boundary.
Some things need a slower answer next time.
If you’re more picky with your yeses, you end up protecting what you care about most.
So as you brew your tea today, let it steep, take a breath... then ask yourself:
What is one yes that has started to feel heavy?
And what would become possible if you gave fewer things your yes?

Thanks for pausing for tea with me today.
If this helped, I’d love a quick comment, a heart, or a share. It genuinely helps this post reach more people who need a calmer next step.
