01: Sustainable Success Starts Here
I’ve been thinking a lot about overperformance lately.
It’s so easy to live in constant pressure without even noticing it anymore.
If my mind is left to it’s own devices then I generally feel behind, like I need to keep up and stay useful.
I stopped listening to the signals my body was sending for far too many years... it was more comfortable to keep pushing on.
But eventually the body speaks louder.
I’m grateful I was able to make changes to my life before I hit full on burnout but far too many people aren’t as lucky.
It’s time we stopped treating ourselves like machines and accept the fact we’re magical beings who actually perform better when we act in harmony with nature’s rhythms. If we let recovery follow effort and rest follow growth.
I wonder what would change if we respected our actual capacity instead of pushing past it?
Regular pauses for tea coupled with small habits help me hear myself think again. What works for you?
p.s. Your pause for tea this week is brought to you by Life's a Peach, a flavoured black tea that combines the robust, full-bodied taste of premium Ceylon tea with a medley of colourful, fragrant blossoms and a hint of peach - discover more teas here.

Thanks for pausing for tea with me today.
If this helped, I’d love a quick comment, a heart, or a share. It genuinely helps this post reach more people who need a calmer next step.
