Tea Routine: Manage your brouhaha
In our fast-paced digital world, it’s so easy to overwhelm our minds with endless stimuli. That’s why creating a calm space, especially in the evenings, is essential for a good night’s sleep. After all, going to bed stressed almost guarantees restless nights and poor-quality sleep.
Here are six simple things to avoid before bedtime:
Tough talks: Steer clear of emotionally charged conversations.
Stress triggers: Resist checking work emails or your bank balance.
The news: Save it for when you’re better prepared to process it.
Scary movies: Swap horror for something light or uplifting.
Heavy non-fiction: Lose yourself in a gentle fictional world instead.
Doom-scrolling: Set your phone aside and let go of comparisonitis.
Instead, treat yourself with care and intention—like you would a child. Dim the lights, take a warm bath, and settle in with a caffeine-free herbal tea. Disconnect from your devices, perhaps lighting a candle, and pick up a relaxing bedtime story. These small shifts can create a cocoon of calm, helping you wake up refreshed and ready for the day.
Why not turn this into an evening tea routine (herbal of course) for a week and notice the difference? Your mind and body will thank you.
