01: Add Fire to Your Winter
Winter tends to pull you inward.
It’s the season of stillness, silence and reflection.
But too much of that, and you start to shut down.
Fatigue creeps in.
Motivation disappears.
You feel disconnected.
That’s a Water Element imbalance.
To rebalance, you don’t need more rest.
You need contrast.
You need Fire.
Start small.
Drink a bold black tea.
Add heat to your food - think ginger, cinnamon, roasted root veggies.
Wear more red.
Move more.
Call someone and have a proper conversation.
Light a candle or switch on some fairy lights.
You’re not trying to cancel winter.
You’re meeting it with what it lacks.
Water grounds you.
Fire reminds you you’re still alive.
Balance is built through contrast, not control.
Put the kettle on.
Spark something.
p.s. today I’m enjoying the seasonal Mulled Pine infusion to spark my festive joy.
