01: Cold Outside, Numb Inside?
You don’t need a new room.
You need warmth.
If winter has left you flat, foggy or disconnected, it’s not laziness. It’s Water Element overload.
In Five Element theory, Water governs winter. It draws us inward, deepens reflection and encourages stillness. But too much stillness becomes stagnation.
That’s when Fire helps.
Not the burnout kind. The kind that reminds you you’re alive.
Start with something simple:
Light a candle
Brew a black tea like Earl of Winter, with it’s bold, citrusy, warming vibes
Place a mat down to mark your space
Play music that stirs something
These aren’t aesthetic choices. They’re energetic signals.
You’re not chasing productivity. You’re choosing presence.
Your space doesn’t need more cushions.
It needs energy.
And sometimes the boldest thing you can do is sip tea in red socks and remember what joy feels like.
What’s one small Fire you’ll bring in today?
p.s. today I’m enjoying the seasonal Earl of Winter black tea to give me my spark back.
