01: Most of us don’t choose our tea moments.
They’re scheduled in between tasks.
A few minutes of distracted sipping (if you’re lucky), then we move on.
Even our pauses seem to be scheduled in these days.
Meetings that start on the hour, notifications arrive in waves, something is always waiting.
Over time, we’ve become accustomed to that rhythm of perpetual motion.
Always onto the next thing.
Spring moves differently.
The buds open slowly, the light returns little by little and life comes back at its own pace.
Tea has a similar rhythm.
The steam rises, the leaves unfurl as the colour deepens and the heat settles into your hands.
When you sip with that pace, your breathing shifts slightly, your shoulders drop and your attention starts to settle.
Let your pause for tea become your anchor… your moment to slow down, sip slowly and notice what changes.
If you’d like a guided tea pause, listen to this week’s Tea Mind podcast and let the cup set the rhythm.
