01: It’s all in the pour…
Growth isn’t always about more.
We glorify scale in business:
More revenue. More hires. More investment.
But growth without direction is just noise.
More meetings. More stress. Less clarity.
Just because your business is expanding doesn’t mean it’s getting stronger.
Sometimes it just means the cracks are growing too.
We forget this:
A bigger pot of tea doesn’t make a better brew.
In fact, when you rush it - when you steep too long, add too much, pour too fast - you ruin the richness.
The strength is in the balance. The quiet discipline. The patience.
Real growth?
It’s not always louder, messier or faster.
It can look like simplifying, reducing, or starting again.
To cut what doesn’t serve.
To return to what matters most.
Growth isn’t about how much you can hold.
It’s about how well you pour.
p.s. today I’m enjoying Immunitea Boost green tea to keep me feeling tiptop.

Essentialism
Greg McKeown’s classic book, Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less offers a foundational lens: not doing more things, but doing the right things. (E.g. his 90% rule the trade-offs concept). Also check out his talk below (old but still relevant).
