01: Noticing the beauty…
It’s easy to rush from day to day without noticing the beauty you just lived through.
We skim the surface of our days, chasing the next task, the next scroll.
But this week, I paused.
I made tea.
And I remembered.
I saw Elizabeth Day speak with Suzi Ruffell in a small Church in Stockbridge. A magical moment that was worth the 20 min fast run to get there.
At the Royal Edinburgh Botanic Garden, I held a Tea Circle beside a striking art installation. The artist, Linder Sterling, joined us for tea meditation. It felt both surreal and grounding.
The surf was wild. I got on my board in my own awkward way. It wasn’t pretty, but it was joyful. A reminder that it’s worth doing things you’re not good at if they make you feel alive.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been blending new teas and working on something special. I recorded new episodes of The Tea Mind and hosted a Tea Circle for founders where deep goals surfaced through stillness.
But one small exchange stood out.
After a Tea Circle, I gave someone some Pumpkin Chai. She returned a short while later with her own homemade herbal vinegar. A quiet, generous act. No fanfare. Just two people sharing what they had.
Tea makes space for that.
It softens the day and lets the good rise to the surface.
What might you notice if you slowed down long enough to see it?
What beauty is hiding in your week?
