Tea Routine: random act of kindness
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to focus solely on our own stresses and challenges. But what if, in just a few minutes, we could make both ourselves and someone else a little bit happier?
While waiting for your tea to brew today, why not take a moment to perform a random act of kindness? Whether it’s sending a thoughtful message to a friend, paying a compliment to a colleague, or simply holding the door open for someone, these small gestures can transform someone’s day. I’ve made it a habit to use one of my pauses for tea each day this week to brighten someone’s day —and it’s surprising how much it brightens my own. The feeling of bringing a smile to someone else is contagious.
Acts of kindness have been shown to boost confidence, increase happiness, and foster feelings of positivity and control. Not only do they make us feel more optimistic, but they also strengthen our mental resilience. And here’s the beauty of it: your small act might inspire someone else to spread kindness, creating a ripple effect that contributes to a more positive community.
Next time you make a cup of tea, consider how you can spread a little joy. What random act of kindness can you introduce today? Share your thoughts below!
