Tea Routine: Journaling
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by a head full of worries and cluttered thoughts? When life gets noisy, feeling calm or clear about your next step can be hard.
A simple, effective way to declutter your mind is to spend the 3 minutes while your tea brews putting pen to paper. There is no need for structure or sense—just let your thoughts flow. It doesn’t matter if what you write feels like complete gibberish; what matters is getting it out of your head. I started journaling during my tea breaks, and I found the process both freeing and calming. The physical action of writing helps your subconscious mind process thoughts and feelings without you even realising.
Journaling like this can bring a sense of control and clarity. You might notice that after a few sessions, your mind feels lighter, and you’re clearer on what your next steps should be. Over time, it can reduce stress, improve mental resilience, and leave you feeling calmer and more focused.
Try journaling during your pause for tea at least three times a week. Let your thoughts flow without judgement and see how it affects your mental clarity. How do you feel after trying it? Let me know your experiences!

Wellbeing
I came across this interesting article in Psychology Today on what is insight and how it can help us grow. Cultivating a safe space where you can sit with your tea leaves means you’re better able to lean in to those uncomfortable feelings and create some lasting positive change.

Have a think about these 5 minute journaling questions from Intelligent Change. I particularly like using gratitude to shift my focus to something positive.
