Tea Routine: what’s your one goal?
Ever feel like you’re drifting through your days without a clear direction? Without a goal, it’s easy to lose focus and motivation, leaving us feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
One of the simplest yet most powerful things you can do while your tea is brewing is to set a clear, actionable goal. It doesn’t need to be big or life-changing. Start small. For example, I started setting one clear goal during my pause for tea each morning, getting really clear on the one thing that when actioned would make the day a success. It's usually something that I'd rather avoid…
That's where your tea routine really comes in handy. Breathe deeply as you consider 'the thing' and allow yourself to feel what comes up for you. I find it also helps me if I imagine that I've already taken the action and really feel how that feels. Then I walk back in my mind noticing each action I had to take to get there. That normally gives me the clarity and nudge to start taking action. Remember to thank yourself once you've achieved your goal and notice how good it feels. The clarity and focus that came from those few minutes of goal-setting transformed my day. Suddenly, I felt in control and more purposeful.
Setting clear goals helps you feel more in control, boosts your confidence, and improves your productivity. It’s also a powerful way to increase optimism and mental resilience. When you know what you want to achieve, every action becomes more intentional, and you’ll feel more positive about your day. Plus, ticking off those small goals fuels your momentum for larger ones.
Next time you’re waiting for your tea to brew, take those 3 minutes to define one goal for your day. How might a simple goal-setting routine help you focus and move forward? Give it a try and share your experience!
